Matter of fact I do.... Just using basic operation. Timers and safeties. No email alerts, data logging or anything like that right now. Thats something to do when Im bored with everything else ;) :)

this is my first controller also..... the apex does take a little to get used to. I was reading the manual and pushing buttons for a couple of hours til I got the hang of it. all in all great thing to have.... Ull be happy.

Cool! I think I will be happy. I have compared the RKE and Apex and they're both good controllers, but the simple fact I can flash the firmware on the Apex through the web to update, and would have to dismantle the RKE and flash using a USB cable irked me, so I chose the Apex. Ken over at RC is also working on a web based app to configure / monitor the Apex over WAP (cell phone browser) that's simple and straightforward. Ordered from Aquacave - tracking number says it will be here Monday.

Awesome. Got my Apex today, and the EnergyBar 8 is bad out of box. Delayed 4 days shipping now. So impressed with the unit.

Seeing as I'm needing a second EnergyBar 8 anyhow, I'm trying to get Neptune to get the replacement plus the EB 8 I'm purchasing here by Friday. I'm going to be in Vegas for a week, leaving Monday and would really like a controller on my tank beforehand. :-/

Well my 2 new energybar 8's will be here Friday. Needed a second so figured may as well just get it shipped with the replacement.

The Apex is nearly completely configured at this point, just need to get a small sheet of plywood, paint it, and mount my halide ballasts, the Apex, and EB8's on there to get everything organized and keep the cords and plugs off the floor in case of drips or leaks. That will go behind the tank. Buying a 300 watt titanium heater, and a local reefer gave me a nice fan for my sump. Now I should be able to keep the temp pretty much spot on with the controller.

EnergyBars arrived! Just have to program the outlets for the second strip, mount everything and transfer over. I suspect I've got a long night ahead

Apex is nearly all configured, need to tweak it a bit today.

I'm having the most annoying problem with the clock though. Any power failure resets the clock either to 2007, or 2029, it seems at random. Very irritating.
