Eeeeeewwwwwwww that skimmer looks NASTY. Which is definately a good thing. Better that gunk in the skimmer and collection cup than in the tank. As much as fish enjoy swimming in their own toilet, you have to draw the line somewhere :D

    Pics of the corals?

lol. I'm glad that it's pulling it out - surprised at the quantity since my fish are pretty small.

Will have pics when I pick the corals up this weekend, going to the meet on Sunday.

Also picking up a green slimer this weekend.

This will be my first experience with SPS, hopefully they do well in my tank. MG and CA are stable around 480 / 1420, dkh 12. Lots of flow in the tank as well. I will put them in the higher flow areas, and see how it goes!

Pleased with the overall stability of the tank. All params holding steady. I am doing a water change this weekend, probably about 10 gallons on Saturday. I expect the nitrate level to drop (currently at about 10) as the Bullet is pulling awesome amounts of gunk, more than the other skimmer ever did.

New addition today - nicely colored 6-line wrasse. Very bright and healthy, acclimated very well. Swimming around and hasn't hid once. Personable fish, slinks in and out of the rocks constantly and grazes on them and even comes up to the glass to greet you. Will feed mysis tomorrow.

    Got some new corals today.

Got a very healthy torch coral, with 7 heads, a green frogspawn with 4 heads, and a nice frag of xenia - kind of different, very short, bushy, spreads like zoanthids - like a mat that pulses. Looks neat.

Also one loss, my lawnmower blenny. :(

I have to find some way to cover the tank.

All seems to be going well with the tank. Gave my skimmer a good cleaning today as it doesn't seem to be foaming quite as good as it has been. We'll see how it looks tomorrow morning.

I picked up a softball size pink, fuzzy leather coral today. It seems to have acclimated well and opened up good. Tomorrow I will be picking up a 3" x 4" purple monti cap. Has some very nice coloring. My green slimer seems to be doing well, polyps are extended and it's colored up since I got it (was a pale green, turning darker green). So the cap should do well I think.

Wow, Zach! You've been busy! The tank is looking great. Love the yellow watchmen - he's a favorite of ours. I wonder if the new goby could have spooked the blenny. We lost our aurora goby the same way not long after we added a blenny. I thought about covering the tank, but everything has been stable for a few months now, so I didn't - yet.
