Nice work on the tank! As for peppermints eating aiptasia, I've tried buying one by one a couple of times before and they would just disappear in about a week, w/o any interest in the aiptasia. Got 2 this time and they seem to be doing better, might be just a coincidence though... Also, 'brunoboarder' was saying the Caribbean are the ones that are supposed to take care of it...

Fuge leak fixed. I think I am going to leave the LEDs where they are height wise. Raising them as high as they could go in the canopy really didn't help much.

Still need to fix the wiring on my ATO... but finally the whole system is circulating!

    Update:

ATO wiring fixed. Just need to get my reservoir setup and the programming correct in my reef angel.

Also, I appear to have some weird issues with my LEDs. Whenever they have power, my PH probe has an electric charge to it. If it's in the water, my water has a charge and gives me a small shock. If it's not in the water or connected, then the metal the probe plugs into gives me a shock (even if power supplied outside of the reef angel, which points toward the dimming ports). This happens (all though intensity varies) regardless of which LED is plugged in.

    But Cycle has started

I may be moving all my live rock and livestock over either Monday, or after I figure out my ph probe shock issue. Whichever happens later.

NOTE: Since it's all my existing liverock, I shouldn't have much of a cycle. I have had to move tanks before with no casualties. However, I will test my water first. If the cycle has already produced spikes of amm or nitrite then this move will wait.

I moved all my live rock from my nano into the fuge of this tank (filling it totally full! Hopefully a great pod breeding ground!). Moved all the fish in as well.

They appeared super stressed with the move, however today they look happy and were eating :)

Sooooooo, I picked up super cool tiny little snowflake clown. So far, the two clowns are doing AWESOME together. There is no signs of aggression, and they seem to be inseparable (probably helps the new clown is literally 1/3 the size of the one I've had!)

Also, and I know it’s stocking a little fast, but I have 30 gallons saltwater ready to go if needed, but they also had a Heniochus diphreutes. One of the fish I was SUPER interested in. So… I went for it. I know it looks similar to a not-reef safe fish, but I figured now while there is minimal coral is the perfect time to observe it to be sure it doesn’t nibble. So far I love it! Super friendly, very into my pellets within seconds of being added, constantly cruising.

I'm now going to wait a week, or (most likely) 2, then see if I can find a yellow tang to add.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Congrats on the new snow flake. Looks forward to the images when you can get them to sit still for .5 of a second. Oh and congrats on the banner fish as well, I have never kept one.

What type of lighting are you growing the mangroves under?

Thanks! I will try and get some pictures. Here is one from my cell phone under the moonlights.

My fuge light is some sort of LEDs. Very high in the red spectrum (I have pictures I might be able to upload later with it on) I got it for free from my reefclub. The previous owner said it grew algae amazing for her, but she was rehoming some anemones to her fuge and needed something stronger.

Also, they were originally under a standard compact florescent bulb. When I moved my controller a few weeks before they got moved into the system, they were under no lighting other then my standard living room lighting, so they weren't too happy about that.
