    I haven't read all of your thread yet, but I will. Sorry to hear about your first tank breaking, but the second one is looking really good. I just started my tank back in February as well.

    Thanks! I know I got a long ways to go! Just gotta let things grow, while grabbing a few frags here and there.

    Debating a moon coral (neon-green looks amazing!) or a red acan. Right now it comes down to which is left when I decide it's time for my next frag. I can't decide! (no idea what I'll do if they still have both, haha)

    Just added the frags. Not everything is openned up yet, but here are the pics as promised. Hard to capture the color of the teal brain, but it's really nice!

    just read posts from start to finish!!!! what an epic story - you should make a film!!!
    You certainly seem to have made a great recovery from your initial tank breaking, and your new tank looks just as good.

    I noticed that in the first tank you put in what looked like a plague of snails, is that the norm? I assume the snails slowly die off as their food source depletes until you are left with the optimal number.

    Yup, I ordered the suggested size Clean up Crew for my tank from reef cleaners. They quickly go into the sand and rock work so they seem less overwhelming (and indeed, they do die off). If I had to guess the pictures you're referring to are from RIGHT after I added them. My girlfriend (who HATES snails and is phobic of slugs) was pretty pissed and what she thought my tank was going to look like with all those buggers!

    In fact, partially because of the new tank, I'm thinking of ordering another CuC to restock what I've got!
