I went the biopellet route, I think its a much better choice for someone with out the income level or space or time to afford zeovit system.

also biopellets are solid carbon dosing.

Yes, they are still dosing. But what I meant was, as you said, solid carbon dosing in a reactor (or even a HOB filter) as opposed to being added directly to the DT or sump like a liquid/powdered form or carbon/vodka/sugar.

    Hey Seano
what I meant was , I know about my corals in my tank
I dont know about corals in another tank , I know how my corals should look when they seem contented

and its when I feel I can interpret the actions reactions of my corals
that I feel confident enough trying something different

thats what I mentioned keeping corals for some time in a tank before making any decisions
its getting to know those particular corals so that you can tell if what you are doing is good, bad or indifferent to them thats important

ReefSparky termed it as "being in tune with your tank"
and thats a very good way of thinking of it IMO

    +1 Steve

There's no such thing as a truly ULNS in the "home aquarium"....only exists in the ocean

Bio-pellets need to be introduced slowly. There's a recommendation for use based on system volume because you "can" overdose. Just makes it easier on the livestock to introduce slowly, just like anything else ;)

In the ocean only the water is clean, but we could never match the amount of organisms available for corals and fish to eat in our aquariums.
