    Im getting the mantis on teusday, its a peacock im pretty sure..But not until it comes in idk yet 100%. Im pretty exited.

    What maintenance should i be doing on this tank?

    try dropping some snails and hermits in there so he can snack whenever he wants.

    Yeah, ill do that every other week. Does it matter which snails and hermits?

    How deep is your sand bed? I would do atleast 4 inches. As for food, my smithii enjoyed black Margarita snails. Plenty of meat and a fairly thin shell. Ceriths do not have much actual snail meat in them, and astreas are really thick and can be tough for them to op::)en.

    Okay..Ill run and get more sand then today..That should be good enough..I didnt think i had enough.

    Ill get some snails also while im there.

    Picked it up today!! For $20 at LFS, he is a green mantis, i think its named a G.viridis

    I have 2 small hermits and a snail in there right now for him to feast on whenever, so far he has not takin interest in them, he just runs around the tank and is VERY active. He is about 4" and great color. Ill get a camara and get a pic in a few.
