This is my 36 gallon bowfront tank. It has a 3-4" deep CaribSea live sand bed and about 40 lbs of live rock. I haven't stocked it much yet, and so far have only put in two yellow tail damsels to keep it up and running. The water quality is somehow very good, even though I'm not currently doing much for mechanical filtration. I'm running an Aqua-C Remora skimmer with a Maxi Jet 1200 pump. The skimmer box is nice for keeping the water surface clean and I have no problems with micro bubbles. I'm using a PhosBan reactor loaded with RowaPhos and some activated carbon. For circulation I'm using a single Rio Hyperflow 10 powerhead. I initially didn't think this would be enough, but it's seems to be doing very well with just the one. The only mechanical filtration I'm using now is a very cheap 10 gal Whisper filter from Wal-Mart. I'll be picking up an Eheim Liberty 200 to replace it in a few weeks.
